Bilingual services offered: Counselling A warm benevolent approach respectful of persons and confidences. A presence, a listening ear and a support that people in a state of physical, moral, psychological or social distress need. A milieu grouping other women with whom they can exchange similar experiences and discuss the different possibilities openly to them. Animators: Alert to needs. Respectful of clients and their decisions. Capable of giving information on the rights of a person and on the resources available. - A follow-up service for those who desire it and/or feel the need of it, a service offered either by phone, interviews or support group. Objectives of the House: Offer a secure lodging to persons in urgent social needs. Offer a place where persons in crisis situations may receive support along the lines of their problems. Lessen the traumatism and assist clients in their difficulties, in their progress and in their research of solutions to their problems. Refer clients to specialized persons and organizations that exist in the locality. Assure necessary comfort and protection to the clients. Make the community still more aware of the problems of domestic violence.
