24 hour Crisis Line 613-342-8815 Leeds and Grenville Interval House was incorporated through the Ministry of Community and Social Services in 1983 to provide protection, support and shelter to abused women and their children in the Leeds - Grenville area. Currently, the following programs and services are in place: -10 bed residential shelter for abused women and their children. -24 hour crisis line. -Supportive counselling, information and referral for abused women. -Children's Program to assist mothers to help their children cope with the family violence. -Community Outreach Program to provide information, support and follow-up services for women not residing in the shelter. -Children's Witness Program to assist mothers in making changes to live a violence-free life and to help their children who have witnessed the violence. -Transition and Housing Support Program to assist mothers in making changes to live a violence-free life, provide follow-up, support and referrals, and to help women find and retain affordable housing. -After the Rain children's group, with concurrent mother's group, for children who have witnessed violence. -Women's Support Group, for women who have experienced violence. -Act as an educational resource on issues of violence against women and children, and advocate for social change. -Recruitment and training of volunteers to assist and support the work of Interval House
